PA sales tax is 6%, however, if the item is being shipped to you in another state, you pay the sales tax of your state, not the state the item is shipped from. If the company shipping you the item is not set up to collect taxes in your state, then technicaly you are responsable for paying your state the taxes on the item (but no one pays attention to that unless you are talking about BIG money items like cars.) At least this is how we have always handled it at the equipment sales place I work at in MD. If I ship parts out of state, I don't collect the sales tax unless we are licenced in that state.
